Assessment, Reports & Diagnosis
I provide psychological assessments, diagnoses, and written reports to help bring clarity, understanding, and guidance for next steps.
First session & What to expect
The first session is an opportunity to get to know each other, discuss your goals, and
assess whether private therapy is appropriate.
During this session, we will:
Explore the presenting concerns and needs
Discuss the scope of services and therapeutic approach
Determine whether further sessions are suitable or if referral/collaboration with other services is needed
This ensures that therapy is safe, effective, and tailored to the client’s or family’s specific needs.
Get to know me
I’m Diana, a licensed (Embætti landlæknis) psychologist originally from Barcelona, Spain, now based in Reykjavík, Iceland. I offer therapy in both Spanish and English for children, adolescents, and adults.
I hold a Master’s degree in General Health Psychology from the Universitat de Barcelona (UB), focusing on addiction and trauma. I also completed two postgraduate programs through Instituto Español de Psicoterapia Integradora (IEPI), where I trained in integrative psychopathology and trauma‑ and attachment‑focused psychointegrative therapies.
In addition, I am trained in EMDR and in third-generation therapies such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and I also draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches in my clinical work.
In addition to my private practice, I work as a psychologist within the Icelandic primary healthcare system (Heilsugæslan), where I support a diverse population, including asylum seekers. I also hold a professional contract with Sjúkratryggingar Íslands (SI).
